The Natural Dye Garden
The Natural Dye Garden is a project is being put together by our Philadelphia members in partnership with the Philadelphia Horticultrual Society, Green Village, Red Blue Green and the Mantua Community Improvement Community. The group is establishing a community garden in west philadelphia that will grow plants that will be turned into sustainable dyes. We will work with children in the community to teach them about gardening and sustainable fashion. Community members will create projects using the dyes.
Sustainable Fashion Desginers partners with businesses and organizations to develop leading-edge fashion projects. We invite interested partners to contact us if you share our values. We are especially interested in projects that hit at least 3 of these targets:
-Can have an positive impact on 20 or more people
-Can advance the use of sustainable design practices
-Support independant designer entrepreneurs
-Improve the lives of women in girls through fashion
-Improve envirnomental impacts in the fashion industry
