Fair Trade Label for designers manufacturing in the USA
Sustainable Fashion Designers has partnered with Fair Trade USA to explore opportunites for expanding the newly created Fair Trade Apparel certification label for use by fashion businesses that are manufacturing in the USA. To explore this opportunity we have created a small collabortive group of indepandently- owned companies that are evaluating w their supply chains to qualify under the current Fair Trade Apparel standards. We will publish our learnings as the progress of the group develops. We are hopeful that the result of the project will be a publication that will detail our understanding for what is possible for a USA based fair trade apparel and opportunties for the future of USA apparel manufacturing.
